1. Who we are
League Managers Hub is operated by Magic League Ltd ("Magic League", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number [11890849], with a registered office at [Norbrook House Upper Warren Avenue, Caversham, Reading, England, RG4 7EB].
League Managers Hub is powered by Magic Sports, which is also owned by Magic League Ltd. Magic League Ltd is the data controller for the personal data collected through this website.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at [hello@magicleague.co.uk].
2. What data we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:
- League Health Check data: first name, last name, email address, league name, and your answers to the Health Check questions (covering registrations, payments, league management, communication and growth readiness).
- Prize draw entries: the details above, plus any additional information needed to confirm eligibility or contact a winner (see Section 7).
- Interview and case study participants: name, league name, role, and the content of any interview, video, or written contribution, plus any consent details you provide.
- Newsletter and community sign-ups: name and email address.
- Website usage data: standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information and pages visited, collected through cookies and analytics tools (see Section 8).
- Correspondence: anything you send us directly, for example by email.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 18. The Health Check is intended for people aged 18 and over who are involved in running or administering a league.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to:
- generate and email your personalised League Operations Score and report;
- contact you with relevant tips or follow-up information related to your results, where you've agreed to this;
- run and administer our prize draws, including verifying eligibility and contacting winners;
- combine and anonymise Health Check responses to produce aggregate research, benchmarks and the annual League Operations Report — no individual league is identified in this published research;
- feature interviews, case studies or quotes where you've given explicit permission;
- send newsletter or community updates, where you've opted in;
- understand how the website is used, and improve its content and performance;
- respond to enquiries you send us;
- meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including keeping records relating to prize draws.
4. Our legal basis for processing
We rely on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:
- Consent — for sending you your personalised report, newsletter communications, and for using your interview or case study contributions.
- Legitimate interests — for producing anonymised research and benchmarks, and for improving our website, provided this doesn't override your rights and interests.
- Legal obligation — for keeping records required to run our prize draws fairly and transparently.
You can withdraw consent at any time (see Section 6).
5. Sharing your data
We do not sell your personal data.
We may share data with:
- trusted service providers who help us run the website, send emails, host survey data or administer prize draws (for example, email marketing or survey platforms), under contracts that require them to protect your data;
- Magic Sports, where relevant to a request you've made or where you've indicated interest in learning more about it — this is never automatic, and never a condition of completing the Health Check;
- regulatory or legal authorities, where we're required to by law.
Some of our service providers may process data outside the UK/EEA. Where this happens, we put appropriate safeguards in place (such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or equivalent standard contractual clauses).
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- ask us to delete your data;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before you withdrew it;
- complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you think we've mishandled your data.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL].
7. Prize draws
If you enter one of our prize draws, we'll use your data to check eligibility, run the draw, and contact you if you're selected, in line with the separate Prize Draw Terms set out in our [Terms & Conditions]. Entry details are retained only as long as needed to administer the relevant draw and meet our record-keeping obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymised.
8. Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to help the website function properly and to understand how it's used.
Essential cookies Some cookies are necessary for the website to work correctly (for example, remembering your progress through the Health Check). These don't require consent.
Google Analytics We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website — for example, which pages are viewed, how long people stay, and how visitors reach the site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information, which may include your IP address, device and browser type, and pages visited. This data is processed by Google and may be transferred outside the UK/EEA; Google provides its own safeguards for this, details of which are available at Google's Privacy Policy.
We do not use Google Analytics to identify you personally, and we do not use it for advertising or ad personalisation.
Because Google Analytics cookies are not strictly necessary for the website to function, we'll ask for your consent via a cookie banner before they're set, in line with UK PECR requirements. You can withdraw consent at any time by changing your preferences in the cookie banner, or by adjusting your browser settings to block or delete cookies.
Managing cookies You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Blocking essential cookies may affect how parts of the website work, including the Health Check.
We'll keep this section updated as our cookie and analytics setup develops — for example, if we introduce a dedicated cookie consent tool or additional tracking technologies.
9. Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to meet legal, accounting or reporting requirements. Health Check responses used for anonymised research are retained in aggregate, non-identifiable form after the retention period for identifiable data has ended.
10. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised. Significant changes will be highlighted on the website.
